I began my training in 1999 after having counselling myself and becoming interested in the subject. I come from a working background which includes experience both in Education and the Civil Service. I have two grown up children.
I gained an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2004 and have since attended many courses which include Anger Management, Therapeutic Play Techniques, Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness. I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their code of ethics. I am fully CRB checked.
I have worked as a counsellor with Help! Counselling, Bristol since 2004. I have also worked for Mothers for Mothers, with women who have post–natal depression and on Saneline, a telephone helpline dealing with mental health issues.
